In 1960, he joined NASA as part of the von Braun rocket team, contributing significantly over 32 years in roles such as Technical Assistant to the Director of Launch Vehicle Operations and Environmental Program Manager in Design Engineering. After earning master's and doctoral degrees in management, AT-001 retired from NASA in 1992 to pursue a commitment to education. AT-001 remains active in aerospace consulting and community service.
