Magnus von Braun (1919–2003) was an engineer and businessman who contributed to the early development of rocket technology and later excelled in the private sector. Born in Greifswald, Germany, he earned an M.S. in Organic Chemistry from the Technische Universität München. He worked at Peenemünde during World War II and immigrated to the United States in 1945 under Project Paperclip.
After joining the Army Ballistic Missile Agency (ABMA), von Braun transitioned to the private sector in 1955, working for Chrysler’s missile division. He later served as Chrysler’s export director in the UK until 1975 before returning to the U.S. His diverse career spanned technical innovation, education, and international business, leaving a lasting impact in both aerospace and industry.
